Titled " No Escape " a pair of Hurricanes of 213 Squadron chasing a German bomber over the south of England during the Battle of Britain in the summer of 1940. During that summer 213 Squadron was stationed, for a time, at Biggin Hill but mainly at Tangmere.
This oil was painted by John D Jones in 1978, he was a well known aviation artist who provided much artwork to Airfix for the boxes for its model kits.
Framed and recently cleaned, the picture is in excellent condition.
