This car the Delage 15 S 8 Grand Prix racing car has a 1.5 litre supercharged straight eight engine producing 170bhp and in 1927 in the hands of Robert Benoist it was unbeatable, winning every race it entered in the 1927 Grand Prix season. In the British Grand Prix at Brooklands, Delage came first, second and third. At the end of the 1927 season Louis Delage sold his racing cars, the four cars were subsequently raced successfully over the next 10 years by a number of different owners proving this to be one of the greatest racing cars ever built.
