Used by Sargeant Majors in the British army (and I suspect in armies all over the world) to measure the separation distances of men on parade. The pace stick has measurements of 12", 21", 24", 27", 30" and 33" on a brass quadrant that slides through the centre of the stick and is secured by a brass screw. This same screw locks the stick when not open and is usually seen under the arm of the NCO in charge of the parade. Of indeterminate age, this very well made stick is in excellent condition. Size: Length - 40" (101.5cm) Width - 1.5" (3cm) Internal Ref: 30865
